Well seven or eight turned up. Geoff and John were delayed so we waited for them - John rode the adapted C90 (now manual) and Geoff rode his Honda postie! Steve and Chris - rule breakers - were showing off their brand new Triumph 400 Speeds and Paul (another rule breaker) was on his Honda 500 (I think). The other Chris was on his AJS 125, Roger was on his "Special", Steve Natt was on his Puch and Colin was on his Piaggio Medley 125 - GOOD LUCK FOR YOUR TEST ON FRIDAY MATE!. I was on my XSR125. Old Dave, was at entirely the wrong venue, wondering where everyone was but drove over to say hello at the end!!
This was a new route from the venue and starting late, we soon hit a problem as we app...

I was on my Yamaha XSR125 because my YB100 needed a new chain. So we all met up for a run at a pub near Berkeley where we would have expected to have lunch afterwards. However the pub was not open that day so we had to make other arrangements but still convened at the pub. With that we were accosted by an aggressive landlord who said he did not know who we were, dismissed our protests and order...

Set out on this run on my Yamaha XSR125. This run for me at least has always been problematic! Every time I have done it I end up getting lost so the only way to deal with that is to revise, determine and print the route personally. The peculiarities of the route are that you spin round in ever decreasing circles rather like the "Waltzers" fairground ride and the road surface is just about as b...

The best laid plans, etc... Never mind, Rob; these things happen.Interesting to see that two of your group have bought the Triumph 400 Speed. I think that Triumph will probably sell a lot of them.
Threatening behaviour and noise? I think its just cause you all were riding motorbikes. I bet the landlord wouldnt have a problem with old men driving a car coming in. Landlord may have discriminated just cause of his hatred of bikers he defo stuck in the 1980's. That place is now gonna be swarmed with bikers now cause of that 😂😂
What a bunch of hooligans , what is the world coming too , hope it did’nt spoil your ride 🤟
Fortunately it was a great ride !
@@RobLittleuk Gave me some pleasure Rob sat at home feeling fed up I’ve got a dose of Covid so I may binge watch your Irish trip tomorrow
The Chipping was used as a location for one of the scenes of the excellent film _Dulcima_ starring John Mills and Carol White.
Thanks for your contribution !
@@RobLittleuk My pleasure. The 1971 film is one of my favourites and is well worth seeing IMO.
I have a 2022 Interceptor 650 and a 2021 Bonneville T100. I got the T100 with 4000kms on it for a bargain. I lost faith in the RE due to blown gearbox at only 9000kms and constant false neutrals during its life so I bought the Triumph and will sell the RE.
When I started reading that I thought "why would he have two such similar bikes".....but then read to the end.....sorry you had the problem with the Intercepter - the T100 is a great bike!
There’s nothing like a bunch of old codgers looking at rust old crap, reminiscing about during the war stuff..that nobody cares about and you can’t remember any of the details anyway 😂😂😂 ps your bikes is worrying my landlord….
No good you hoping for a comment from me I can’t remember the ride…

Ah, George Frederic! So nice to hear the lady arrive... 👍 Re the oil leaks on older British machinery, it was actually a deliberate design feature; a total-loss system means that you don't have to change the oil so often, simply keep it topped-up 🤣
Used to be the intro music on BBC schools TV when I was a kid!
I didn't recognize the music. Beatles, was it? Lane splitting is illegal here. It really scares me. I don't think I'd do it even if it were legal.
Well….the theory here is why have a bike if you are gonna sit and wait in a queue?
Good ride out, made me laugh burger van outside the health club, more takes for burgers by the looks of it.
Struck me as funny too Frank - only noticed it when I was editing 😅
Thought I had tuned into the Light Program. So relaxing 😎
Housewives’s Choice😅
Nice ride out, whilst I enjoy classical music I don't think you can beat the purr of the bonny. Ride safe. Rgds
Well I just thought it might make a change Steve!!
Was it my imagination or did 3rd rider entering megastore have no helmet on ? 👀
I don’t know but they don’t sell bikes - people drive to the store in cars!!
Like the Scene just out of The Wild One Movie Sheriff "Ive seen enough of You Guys To Last me a Lifetime Now Hit the Road!". 😂
Something like that Jeff - a bit of a mad day to be honest.
The engulfed cathedral quite apt for a nice we ride out accompaniment on a lovely morning, hope you did not attempt to go into the fitness club without the obligatory hamburger, hope you enjoyed your trip out, All the Best.
Fortunately, for me, I did not risk going into the gymfortunately for Mrs Little I resisted the draw of “refreshment” from the gusting burger van!

No copyright claim this time, Händle has been dead for centuries 😀😀
Ironically they did flag up “copyright” for something heaven knows what!
you had me worried for a moment , health and fittness club ! what was happening ? then i saw the burger van as you backed out ah alls well with the world again . another nice ride as usual i heard they had a small eartquake aroud the Tetbury area , that just proved it . { bloody modern tech } enjoying the rides , stay safe out there ,
Hi Trevor - can’t see anything about an earthquake maybe you can enlighten me? Sorry to cause trauma with the gym which is next to the motorcycle store - should have edited that bit out 😂
dont worry its only my daft sence of humour getting me in trouble again , you realise its taking me nearly 69 years to get this daft didnt want to blame the shakey camera footage , hence the mini earthquake , same with the fitness club i guess you kept that in as its exact opposite of the tea and cake or pint and pub food as normanly expected . thats why i always enjoy your videos its the light hearted manner in which they are done in this age of doom and gloom its nice to see i was going to say the shock and trauma has cause me to lye down and rest but no been walking the dog last 2 hours . i will try harder next time but cant make promises i cant keep
@@trevorbaker8374 well Trevor I was looking for cracks in the walls !! Yep I saw the funny side of the gym while I was editing - glad you like my vids….thanks for watching them!!
Nice ride out so far. If you go to Swindon a second time, please do some loops for me on the "Magic circle Roundabout" . That'll be great.
Hmmm well I have been round the magic roundabout a few times - took my kids there on their first day of driving!! Will try to do it the bike one day - maybe even on the YB,
It was a big dilemma for me to choose between the 2, in the end I went for the T100. I could add the cruise control and I find the braking system good enough for the bike. But the main reason, was the engine temperature! Here in Italy during the summer period, the temperature can go up to 35°C. Now with only 20°C I can feel already the temperature of the engine, someone told me that the T120 makes much more heat. I really didn't want to be burnt by my bike during the next hot summer. Very happy with my choice
That was my thinking too - I also added the cruise control and the centre stand and being in England the bike keeps me warm 😅 thanks for your comment!
@@RobLittleuk I also added it and other optionals too
Now your my kind of motorcyclists not too fast , getting lost and finding interesting places and finally a cupa😊
That indeed is us Donna - why don’t you join us?
All go to the pub in your cars when it's open, order a round a nd then tell him you were banned, and the leave.
I could understand if some wanted to do that but it would only bring us down to his level.
What a laugh to get us going on this one. ' Get out of my pub ' 😉😉😅Good line up of bikes and an interesting ride in an area I have never been. The occasional sub titles are handy adding a little hilarity to the ride. I have been in that position when riding with our old group, not knowing where I am. Yes, another good one Rob. NJ😊👍🏍
Glad you enjoyed. In truth I knew where I was most of the time but some of the others didn’t!
Another enjoyable ride through some delightful countryside Rob. It's a pleasure to watch when the weather prevents us from actually riding. Luckily, I have been out on both my Hondas today. The vlogs are never too long. All the best NJ 😊👍🏍
Glad you enjoyed John and got to have a ride out. Right now we are dodging the showers and enduring the cold gusty wind. Ride safe.
U now have an OAP Banned Badge of Honour...
Wearing it with pride!
😂😂 BeelzeRob & the Devils in Dayglow 😊😂 what a gang, no wonder pubs shut up shop in fear of the sight and sound of you pulling in 😂😂 But seriously, what was that landlord thinking 😂😂 So jealous, wish I could get banned from somewhere 😂😂 It’s like been asked for your ID when buying booze or fags 😂
Had the same. Few or us due to meet and ride to a classic bike show a couple of years ago. I missed the confrontation as I was few minutes late but landlord of closed pub cleared the other few over 60s off his car park

Not a million miles from me. I like the back lane rides more than the big rides these days. And I see the Xsr has had a few up dates, luggage wise.. Be interested to see you views, as I'm considering the XSR125 as my next bike. Been on auto's for few years now. And fancy gears again, but can't be bothered with the big bikes anymore.
Hi Any - bought the XSR because I was not able to use the YB as you probably know. Excellent bike feels like it has some grunt for a 125. Also physically larger than many similar bikes. The bike shops WONT let you have a test ride though
Top stuff
😊
I have found that most landlords are normally very hospitable . Maybe this 1 was a bit grumpy as his vat return will be due shortly.
Just a bit !
Terrorising a poor, defenceless old Landlord, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I think you should be remnamed the "Geriatric Black Widows of Wiltshire" !!! Seriously, rubbish beer and a poor atitude, he doesn't deserve any customers.
Well you do look a rough bunch 😂😂😂
Don’t underestimate us Jayne!
That was an interesting start for our ride out this morning, but in the end it turned out to be a very enjoyable ride, and on my own doorstep. Many thanks Alan for leading the gang today and Kevin for asking if we could have a tour of the train shed. We even had the presents of sun ☀️
It’s was a brilliant run Mike!
Good run out, pity about the landlord at the pub, very easy to lose customers.
Takes hard work to win customers and just an idiotic event to lose them
Good luck to Ol’ Dave on his trip to France 🇫🇷 👍 from ‘young Dave K’ 😂
I would never have known you were “young Dave” Mr Bond. Hope to see you on Sunday Dave!

I think only Mike Burgess and I never felt 'lost' as this is our familiar area
Very true Jonathan - nice to see you!
@25:40 I thought we were going ahead past the concrete blocks and over the wonky bridge. We'd have come to the lane that we turned 'right' into after going through Newtown.
Ah ha ! !
Lovely ride out, shame about the odd person becoming upset with Wednesday being a dry day possibly having something connected to his over the top reaction. Did like the review "Bit league of gentlemen" description. I suppose we all have off days. Your still banned!
We won’t be going back
You should call yourselves the 99%ers the opposite to the 1% hells angels and outlaws use lol

Well you find the ignorant and uneducated in all walks of life. You took the right attitude. Well done all of you.
In fact we (well I) returned his “attitude”!
Well at least you were able to laugh it off Rob. Love the adventures you guys have on your ride outs. Always entertaining and informative.
Well we do have a brilliant laugh!,
Hi Rob, disappointing attitude at the Salvation - a polite conversation from them was all that was needed. We were there at the end of January whilst visiting friends who live in Berkeley and clearly the owner has had a humour bypass. Their beer was rubbish anyway 😑
It was a pity 😮
It must have been in the 80's when motorcyclists seemed to be unwelcome in most pubs, looks like he is stuck in the past
Looking at the number of views that's 900 customers lost-his loss.
Just very unfriendly - not the pub landlord type
In the 80's? What happened
@@steve00alt70 If you rode a motorcycle in the 80's most pubs turned you away, I understand there had been a lot of trouble with biker gangs and patch clubs around that time and we all got tarred with the same brush. I remember one ride on our 125's to 250's where we tried to get in to 9 pubs and were told sorry we dont serve bikers
@@steve00alt70 Loved your amusing comments - thanks 😅
Sounds like landlord of a pub we used to go to when we were younger went one night and were made really welcome, went back the following week and he met us in the car park with a shotgun (12 bore i kid you not) mind you he did hang himself about a month later 😮
We will not be back to check that out !
Go back en masse when the pub is open and buy him a pint, see if he has mellowed, if he ain't do some geriatric wheelies in the car park 😅
Ha ha there are plenty of other places to meet where we would be welcomed.
Hooligans the lot of you, no wonder your all banned, so I suppose that will not make any difference to any of your group. So you can now be called the Black Widows since all the trouble that you lot have caused at that pub, nice day for the run and looks as though everyone enjoyed the day out. All the Best.
Left turn Clyde! 😂
They are feared throughout the land.😂
Must be a pretty affluent landlord that can afford to alienate potential customers these days. Your little group would've no doubt given him a tidy sum of money had you been able to. I'm sure Babs would've called him a proper 'Berkeley Hunt' ( Very rude rhyming slang).😂
Trouble is, now it’s given us a taste for what fun “causing trouble” can be!! A bit like being chased when “scrumping apples” in the old days!!
Kicks the exhaust off the Chaly then calmly pushes it back into place. The funny looking shunter without a chimney is a fireless engine. They were common in papermills, armament factories and other places where sparks could be disastrous.
Indeed you are correct about the tireless engine - to be honest never come across one of them before!
